Meeting point & time:

The Plaza Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City at 10:30 a.m. Please note that guests are responsible for making their own reservations.

At Las Vegas Airport, guests must catch the 1:30 p.m. ground shuttle to St. George where they will be greeted by their guide, and then transferred to Kanab. All shuttles and transfers are included and organized by us.

Day 1: Salt Lake City to Yellowstone

The first day of this tour will be about meeting each other and setting off for the amazing Yellowstone National Park!

The initial meeting point will be at the Plaza Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah at 10:30 a.m. Your guide will meet you there and gather your luggage into our van. From there, we’ll drive together toward Yellowstone, about 5.5 hours away.

We’ll make a stop for lunch and a leg stretch at the Old Grist Mill in Brigham City. Suitably refreshed, we’ll get back on board our minibus for the final leg of our drive to Yellowstone. Once we arrive, we’ll leave you to get settled into your accommodation at the charming Canyon Village and take in the crisp, clean air and surrounding beauty of the park. We’ll meet later for a group dinner at Canyon Lodge.

Day 2: Yellowstone National Park, Upper Loop & Geyser Basin

We’ll start the day off right with a hearty breakfast at the Canyons Diner before setting off north to the stunning Tower Falls. We’ll continue on to Mammoth Hot Springs, where you’ll see beautiful cascading pools and colorful mineral enclosures.

Lunch will be served at the Historic Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room where you can expect a fantastic dining experience accompanied by unforgettable views of the surrounding park.
After lunch, we will venture on to the Grand Upper Loop toward Norris Geyser Basin. Here we will enjoy a gentle walking loop with several steam vents and small natural geysers!
After our interesting walk, we’ll head back to the accommodation for a rest and refresh. We’ll meet again later for a relaxed and casual dinner at the Canyon Soda Fountain where we can discuss the days highlights and talk about tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 3: Yellowstone National Park, Lower Loop & Old Faithful

For the early birds of the group, your guide will offer a dawn excursion to go to Hayden Valley, one of the best places in the park to view some exciting wildlife like wolves, bison, black bears, grizzlies and bighorn sheep. Though we cannot guarantee animal sightings, this will be our best opportunity to get a glimpse of wildlife!

We will enjoy a late breakfast at the Canyon Diner, and then head Westward, toward Grand Prismatic Springs, famous for its beautifully colored mineral pools.
We’ll also visit the bubbling mud pots at the Lower Geyser Basin and take in the areas countless geological formations, colored waters and steaming vents — have your camera ready!

For lunch today, we’ll enjoy freshly prepared sack lunches to have on the go so we can see as much of the area as possible.
Our afternoon will be spent visiting the famous geyser that attracts millions each year to the park, Old Faithful. We’ll make sure to get great seats to enjoy the show!
To finish off the day, we’ll peruse the Visitors Center and enjoy a group dinner at the famous Yellowstone Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Yellowstone, West Thumb & Grand Tetons

This morning, we will check out of our Yellowstone lodging and pack up the van, ready to hit the road. After grabbing a quick breakfast at the market in the Canyons, we’ll venture to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, a gorgeous yellow chasm with waterfalls — a true treat for the eyes!

As we begin to leave the park, Yellowstone will provide us with a final gem: the famous Yellowstone Lake. Known for more astounding views and unspoiled natural beauty stretching as far as the eye can see, it is the perfect parting gift.

We’ll continue on our journey to Grand Tetons. It will be a slightly longer driving day (3 hours), but the route is brimming with fantastic scenery!
Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch at Jenny Lake and enjoy a short boat ride over to Colter Bay, where we will share a simple half-mile hike to Hidden Falls.
Once we arrive to our destination in Teton Village, we’ll check into our vacation rental home for the next two nights. We’ll meet later for a group dinner at Calico’s Italian Restaurant and share stories from the day.

Day 5: White Water Rafting on Snake River & Western Entertainment

After a continental breakfast, the morning will be spent perusing the streets and shops of Jackson, Wyoming, a fun western town!

We’ll meet for lunch at the Bunnery Bakery and Restaurant, make sure to leave room for one of their freshly baked pastries or desserts!
After lunch, we will check in for our white water rafting experience! Floating down the Snake River is guaranteed to be one of your favorite memories you will take home. Be sure to bring clothing that can get wet as it won’t be a dry ride!
After our float, we will head back to the vacation rentals, where we’ll smarten up and get ready for a rib stickin’ dinner at the Bar J Wranglers Cookout.

Tonight’s entertainment will take you back to the spirit of the old west with songs, stories, yodeling, fiddling and more. We know it’ll be a real hoot!

Day 6: Tram Ride up the Tetons, Hiking Phelps Lake & Back to Salt Lake City

We’ll start the day with a cup of coffee and some fresh fruit and pastries, then check out of our accommodation. Then we’ll get on the road, but only for a few minutes as our first stop, Jackson Hole, is just minutes away. From here, we’ll take an aerial tram ride to the nearby peaks which deliver breathtaking views of the Tetons mountain range. Expect jagged mountains, snow-capped tops and panoramic views of pristine wilderness.

We’ll take the tram back down then head for lunch at a friendly pizza place in Jackson Hole. After lunch, we’ll get in the van to make our way back south towards Salt Lake City which will take about 4.5 hours.

We’ll enjoy our final night together by sharing a special farewell dinner at the Four Seasons and stay at the Springhill Suites near the airport, ready for departure tomorrow morning.

Sadly today is departure day, but we are sure you’ll be leaving with many great memories, experiences and new found friends! Enjoy a nice breakfast before you check out of the hotel and a shuttling service to the airport will be provided for you to get to the airport when needed.

For this tour 3 nights accommodation will be provided at the charming Canyon Village and 2 nights at Teton Village, both are located inside the National Park. One nights accommodation will also be provided for the night before departure at Springhill Suites, near Salt Lake City Airport.

These tours include lodging, 3 meals per day, trail snacks, bottled water, entrance fees, activities, tour transportation and your friendly and experienced tour guide! You may want to bring some extra cash to buy souvenirs or to tip the adventure guides.

What do I need to pack?

We suggest you bring clothing for each day (light layers), shoes and socks appropriate for hiking on rocks, sand, gravel, pavement, and a warm coat and trousers too. We’d also recommend a rain poncho or similar light rain gear, sunscreen, a hat and/or sunglasses, and a camera. National Park Tourz provides 3 meals a day, as well as bottled water, daytime trail snacks and a backpack to keep your belongings. If you have special dietary needs or preferences, you may want to bring a few of your own snacks.

How much hiking are we going to do?

The longest hike we do is 2-mile round trip. Very easy, slow pace and the trail is paved. We do our best to customize your experience. Please let us know what you are comfortable with.

What is the tipping or gratuity procedure?

Gratuity or tipping is a personal option and is completely up to you. You may request to have it added into your tour balance or tip your guide directly at the end of your tour. Customary gratuity is between 5-10% of your tour price.

Yellowstone National Park weather is always changing – it’s a four-season destination! Because elevations inside Yellowstone National Park range from 5,280 feet to 11,400 feet, visitors should not be surprised if the park’s weather changes without a moment’s notice. We advise you pack plenty of light layers, shorts, pants, a hat, sunglasses, a warm coat and a rain poncho.
