We will also catch some star trails, taking advantage of the beautiful clear night skies found in our sweet rural town.

Orientation/meet & greet will happen at 8:00 p.m. or earlier if all parties have arrived.
Accommodations for this night are included in the cost of your tour.
Day One: Zion National Park
The Monoliths of Zion are simply begging to be shot. With your favorite lens, of course!
We will help you set your tripod up to catch great shots of these, as well as wildlife that we find along the way.
Enjoy lunch at the lodge, looking out at the vast canyon carved by a seemingly small river.
Zion provides opportunities for macrophotography along the Virgin River, as well as wide lens options when shooting from a distance.
Evening Lecture: Night Sky Photography
Day Two: White Pocket
The landscape of White Pocket seems almost other-worldly. It is certainly off the beaten path, and we will take our 4X4 vehicles to get there.
You will walk on the white hexagonal rocks and look at the
swirling red and and cream sandstone and feel as though you were transported to Mars! Enjoy a picnic lunch while we are out at this spectacular place.
These austere surroundings make for great subject matter, guaranteed to please any enthusiast.
People from all around the world visit this area to quench their photographer’s thirst.
Evening Lecture: Using editing tools to bring landscape photos alive.
Day Three: Grand Canyon North Rim
The North Rim is far less frequented than the South Rim. That is good news for our guests, because it means you will have an easier time setting up to take your shots.
We bring you to places the large buses don’t go, and give you all the time you need to capture the layered colors, set in place over millions of years!
Lunch on this day is at the historic Lodge, where we can take in views of the canyon from large picture windows.
Evening Lecture: Capturing Wildlife in the Wild
Day Four: Bryce Canyon/Peekaboo Slot Canyon
The Hoodoos of Bryce look great from the top looking down, or the bottom looking up! We will bring you to both perspectives on this day, and see what you like best.
We enjoy a buffet lunch at Ruby’s Inn and head back toward Kanab. Also included on this day is an opportunity to walk through and photograph Peekaboo Slot canyon,
where you will be able to take your time and find that perfect shot.
Evening Lecture: Any hour can be a golden hour.
Day Five: Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend
Photographers from all corners of the world have their sights set on Antelope. We will bring you to this popular spot, an ensure you get the time you need to set up your tripod
and take shots to bring home. This experience will be guided by a Navajo guide who is very familiar with the Canyon and its history.
We will take in lunch overlooking the beautiful Lake Powell, and then take you to Horseshoe Bend, where you can use that fish eye lens, if you would like.
This bend in the river is a 270 degree curve that must be seen to be believed.
We will have a farewell dinner on this night, reminiscing about the week and sharing our photos. We look forward to seeing what our guests create!
After dinner, guests will depart their own way (some may choose to stay an extra night in Kanab).
We would love to have you join us on this debut year of our Southwest Photo Tour!
